National Hunt Season Preview

With the National Hunt season kicking into gear I have put together my 2018/2019 season preview where I pinpoint 50 horses worth tracking and backing this season.

The season preview guide includes:
  • My key novices to follow over hurdles and fences
  • The progressive types that could grow into superstars this season
  • The British big guns
  • The pride of Ireland
  • Golden oldies and big guns that could be firing again this season, everyone loves a comeback!
I also have a few big race antepost predictions for 18/19 at the back of the guide.

Last years NH results from October to April were very positive with a 24.74% ROI with 100.34 points returned from 405.5 points staked.
I aim to better that this year.

Subscribers got informed mid-October and have already seen 3 winners from the guide.

Subscribers are floating on cloud nine after a monster May

May provided a great month of racing with the flat season really kicking into gear with the 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas and some decent Summer jumps racing.
Subscribers had a great month and were floating on cloud nine after a monster May.
The facts and figures below tell you all you need to know.
  • 9 profitable months in a row
  • 86% ROI in May, 25.13 points profit, 10 winners from 29 bets
  • A total of 85.78 points profit this year

Here's what the reviewers think:
"AH HORSE RACING HAS DONE IT AGAIN AND DELIVERED YET ANOTHER PROFIT TO MAKE IT 3 OUT OF 3 WINNING MONTHS! -
I’ve made a total profit of £385.05 over the three months, which is a 38.5% increase to my betting bank of £1000."

"Month 3 turned out to be the best of the three months reviewed, hitting 13.75 points profit. Combined with the previous profitable months this gave an overall profit of 35.05 points. Betting at £10 per point would have seen you clear over £275 profit in three months after the cost of the membership, whilst at £50 per point that figure would have been over £1,675. At just £25 per month for membership this an inexpensive service in the current market, but it has delivered exceptional results during our trial. A very definite pass on the value for money front for AH Horse Racing."
Chris - Betting Rant

Being a profitable horse racing punter is not about making a quick buck, you will back losers everyone does but with the correct guidance (aka me) and disciplines you can make it a profitable hobby. My track record speaks for itself.
If your staking £10 per point over the last 9 months you would be £1,300.10 richer so £1,065.10 after subscription fees.
Independently verified results are available here

At currently just a tenner for your first month you’d be absolutely crazy to miss out!

8 months of profit on the bounce

April was a tough month with Aintree and Punchestown both providing me with little to shout about.
But it ended a profitable month regardless, which means 8 profitable months on the bounce.
Not something easily achieved.

What I should be shouting more about is the cracking figures and ultimately ROI delivered over the last 8 months.
If your staking £10 per point over the last 8 months you would be £1048.80 richer so £863
.80 after subscription fees.
ROI over those 8 months is 20.63%.
Independently verified results are available here

I plan to continue to build on that run of form focusing on the Summer Jumps season.
Jumps trainers who historically deliver very well during the Summer are Dan Skelton, Charlie Longsdon, Alan King and Neil Mullholland. So don't be surprised to see many horses trained by them being tipped!

I myself am really looking forward to carrying on the winning run and a few days out in the sunshine at my local tracks Stratford & Warwick (pictured) over the Summer.

A Tough Day 3 - 29.41 Pts Profit For The Festival

As expected it was a tough day.
1 winner and 2 places. -0.7pts for the day. Taking me down to a 29.41pts profit for the 3 days of the Festival thus far.

Brilliant profit for those who have invested in the guides. Want your copy for the Gold Cup day? Sign up here

Day 3 Summary

Laurina was the sole winning tip for me. She won effortlessly and is evidently a very classy mare. As predicted in the guide Cap Soleil was a good EW angle and came second.
Wholestone put in a solid showing in third in the Stayers, he keeps up his record of placing on every visit to Cheltenham, an impressive record after 8 races at the course.
Penhill won it who again I did say was a EW eyecatcher in the guide.
Guitar Pete never really travelled well in the Brown plate and hit the fourth last, but stayed on to finish sixth, Sky Bet paid 6 places on the race so a little return.
The Young Master put in a good showing race in the Kim Muir finishing sixth, his jumping was a bit too error-prone to grab a place.

It was a day for the Irish with them having 6 of the 7 winnings.
Michael O’Leary won the Ryanair for the first time with the very impressive Balko Des Flos. I couldn’t see Un De Sceaux getting beat but Balko Des Flos was so impressive in beating him.
Gigginstown had a cracking day with Shattered Love taking the JLT and Delta Work winning the Pertemps as well.

Tomorrow brings another day and it’s the big one the Gold Cup.
I will be there so if your about feel free to join me for a pint at the top of the dawn run stand.

Day 2 Summary
The best winner being Presenting Percy who absolutely hosed up in the RSA. A brilliant winner for Pat Kelly and Davy Russell at 11/4.
Get on him for the Gold Cup next year now if you’re a fan.
In the feature race the Queen Mother Champion Chase Altior looked in trouble mid-race and turning in and Douvan mid-race looked as if he was flying before he unfortunately hit the deck. Fortunately, both horse and jockey were ok.
Despite looking in trouble Altior provided a gutsy run to beat Min in the end with ease by 7 lengths.
The second coming of Jesus Christ aka Samcro was fairly impressive in the opener. Even more impressive when you consider he lost a shoe during the race!
Auvergnat also placed in the cross country finishing the top of the JP clan in the race. He ran well but just never quite got into the same gears as the front pair towards the finish. Tiger Roll was handy throughout the race and hopefully those who read the guides followed the advice out of the Gordon Elliot yard I picked up at the Middleton Cheney preview night from Tom Messenger.

Acey Milan ran well in the Bumper picking up a place in fourth.
Le Breuil looked to be travelling well in the Coral cup but didn’t find anything turning in off the bridle and looks like a smaller field might suit, I still think he has a big race in him though.
Lisp fell when out the back in the Fred Winter and didn’t ever look likely to feature.

Onto tomorrow and hopefully another day of profit. Tips have just been distributed for every race to subscribers.

Day 1 Summary

Mister Whitaker was the headline for me in the Close Brothers.
I tipped him up at 20/1 in my Cheltenham Festival Day 1 Guide and he just got up beating Rather Be by a head in a thrilling finish.

Rathvinden was tipped at 7/1 this morning for the 4 miler landed after travelling so strongly into the race beating the very classy Ms Parfois these two were well clear of the field.

Buveur D'air was tested by Melon but retained his champion hurdle crown as expected.

Footpad won impressively after a big mistake mid-race, Ruby kept his cool and let Petit Mouchoir and Saint Calvados tire out front and ended up winning very comfortably.

Apple's Jade felt like the one that got away she was beaten into 3rd after getting into a battle with La Bague Au Roi too far out and Ruby won following an impressive staying showing from Benie Des Dieux who looked beaten on the turn in.

Gold Present didn't fancy it on the ground and Getabird wasn't what I and many thought he was. Summerville Boy was impressive getting up to beat Kalashnikov for an English 1, 2 in the race.

It's England 4, Willie Mullins or Ireland 3 after day one.
